The motivation and determination required for preparation and training, with runners pounding the streets in the seriously hot weather awe-inspiring. Completing the 26.2 miles and raising significant amounts of sponsorship money is a huge personal achievement especially in this economical climate. The support and commitment of each and every runner, their family and friends is deeply appreciated and so vital! Below are the 2009 marathon runners.

		Mick and Nugget Coster. "WOW what a day was really hard in that heavy nugget suit and sun shining on me but no way was i gonna fail! Got stopped by a couple of people, they asked who i was running for, showed em nuggets tail with PRE-ECLAMPSIA BUSTERS on it got a massivs cheer at parliment square as i came round corner people shaking me hand saying i was amazing running in Nugget. Spoke to BBC but never went on telly shame he had never heard of pre-eclampsia. Now he does the gardiuan paper took my photo and gave me a phone number so i could meet her at the end and said they will use photos for run up to next years. Thanx for giving me that great day xxxxxxxxxx"
